End Home Assurance Value (WEHAV)
The West End Home Assurance Value (WEHAV) program is the
first home assurance program in Pennsylvania and the third
in the United States.
WEHAV is designed to insure property values for an extended
time. It guarantees that the value of a West End resident's
property will not fall below the fair market value established
at the time the homeowner registered for the program. If
the homeowner sells the house below the established fair
market value, WEHAV will reimburse the difference.
To benefit from the program, the homeowner must remain
a WEHAV member for at least five years, keep the property
well maintained, and occupy—or have a family member
occupy—the property as a principle residence.
